Dr. Christina Jerome

Dr. Christina Jerome grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with her Mother, Father, Bonus Father, 3 siblings and hundreds of cousins. Always having a passion for working with children she attended University of Maryland College Park and earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She began working for Prince George’s County Public school right out of college as a middle school math and science teacher. She continued her educational path by earning a Masters in curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College and a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. Currently Christina  is a district administrator providing supplemental resources to school principals and staff that promote academic success and closes the access gap for students and families living in circumstances of poverty.

In 2010 Christina married her husband Phil and they have 2 children together Andrew (10) and Anthony (5). Fun fact Anthony was born the same day Christina earned her Doctorate!

It was a few weeks after the birth of Anthony Christina recognized she had a different level of anxiety with motherhood. Anthony’s pediatrician was the first to notice and gave Christina the support she needed. Being a proponent of mental health and having dealt with depression in the past, she sought therapy for postpartum depression. She now speaks openly about her experience and provides a lending ear to friends, family or even strangers if needed! Currently, Christina and her family live in North Laurel, and for the first time both children are in the same school as Anthony began kindergarten and Andrew entered 5th grade. The Jeromes enjoy riding bikes, traveling, playing board games and eating popcorn while watching movies.
